Sandsend Holidays’ cottages
are ideally situated in the delightful coastal
village
of Sandsend on North Yorkshire’s magnificent Heritage
Coast. Surrounded by a glorious sandy beach and majestic
woodlands, the village has some excellent amenities, all
of which are within easy walking distance. These include
a well stocked village shop, a good pub, an exquisite
restaurant, several superb beach cafes, a fine art
gallery, and a “float in float out” holistic therapy
studio. There’s also an idyllic village green with
quintessential English country cottages, grazing goats,
ducks & pheasants, and a romantic church.
The famous Cleveland Way
passes through the village linking miles of breathtaking
coastal & country walks. Whitby’s cliff top golf course
is just a mile along the coast on the way to the
historic harbour town of Whitby, well known for its
ancient Abbey
Ruins & 199 steps, the narrow cobbled streets &
fishermen’s cottages, the fresh fish market, smoked
kippers, yacht marina, specialist shops, & Dracula
connections. The NYM steam railway now links the town to
Pickering via Goathland’s
“Heartbeat” country. The picturesque coastal villages
of Staithes, Runswick Bay, & Robin Hoods
Bay as well as the vast NYM National Park are all within
easy reach, and compliment this wonderfully versatile
Area of Outstanding Beauty.
